Come sing your heart to Auld Langs Syne at White Light/White Heat this NYE as one of London's best up and coming nights, White Light, holds a joint bash with one of London's most established nights and it's sister club, White Heat.
It's all being held at London's newest joint the Lexington.
DOWNSTAIRS will be hosted by White Light regular El Moire and, as it does every Friday, it will only be playing music made before 1984. So expect to hear Muddy Waters next to Blondie next to The Monkees next to The Clash next to random Italo Disco next to Wire next to Jackie Wilson next to Bruce Springsteen next to The Sonics next to Journey next to Gang Of Four next to Sam Cooke... you get the idea... - suggestions?
UPSTAIRS as well as having all the usual elements you'd expect of a White Heat night - Matty and Olly playing their usual mix of electro and indie, exciting up and coming bands and dancing all night - we're also doing our special "Best of the Last Five Years Set" where we re-heat and play everything that means anything to all our regulars over the last five years. We did this for our Birthday Party and it was one of the most fun nights we've ever done. Come hear the club as it lurches from it's roots in Strokes infused Rock n Roll Revolution heaven to London skiffle Libetweenies, through Justice and the French invasion to the Diplo, bass heavy, indie mash up of today, it'll all be there and as with the Birthday party we'll be taking your suggestions in advance via the usual channels (e-mail/facebook/myspace).
