or from Rough Trade.Rough Trade Single of the week we have been hassling white heat every week to release this record for over a year and now finally it's here. without doubt, the rotters (3 girls and a guy) have made the best single of the year - all three tracks are short but not sharp bursts of chaos. they band formed and played their first gig at white heat in the same week. already they have split up and all that's left is this single and an over used myspace site. they sound like a young polystrene fronting a shambolic huggy bear or shaggs. everyone should own this record - it's endearing and atrocious at the same time. limited to 500 copies. Is it a generation of Victorian goth mini-Rippers in polka-dot waistcoats and Cure hair, on a ravenous rock rampage to suck the veins of 2006 dry of blood? Um, probably not actually, but recent office kerfuffle over The Horrors leads us to cast an ear over this shambolic garage-punk toss-off, purely and solely because it features one Faris Badwan on drums. Not something to recommend it particularly but still more of a draw than the song itself – 70 seconds of fuck-awful cod-‘riot grrrl’ bollocks about falling in love with a Japanese punk that sounds like it was recorded by Huggy Bear in a fishtank in 1993.
